Zoho CRM Magic Lookup Extension for Zoho Sheets

This extension effectively integrates Zoho CRM and Zoho Sheets with a streamlined workflow. It allows the user to update the fields of the same module or other related modules in the headers and fields in the Zoho Sheets.

Installation and Configuration #

  • First, install the extension Zoho CRM Magic Lookup Extension for Zoho Sheets from the Zoho MarketPlace.
  • Click on the Connect button corresponding to the Zoho Sheets to connect the Zoho Sheets with the extension.
  • Login to your Zoho Sheets with your login credentials.
  • Now click on the Authorize button corresponding to the Zoho CRM.
  • Then click on Accept by allowing Vlookup to access your Zoho Account.
  • The Zoho CRM Magic Lookup extension’s home page will be displayed.
  • Configure the Workflow settings by creating a new configuration. For that, Click on New Configuration.

Configuration Settings #

Lookup WorkFlow Name #

At first, provide the Workflow name based on the nature of your workflow

Select Zoho CRM Module #

Then Select the Zoho module on which you need to update the data. For example, Contacts, Leads, etc.

CRM Field for Lookup #

Select the desired field from the drop-down based on which you need to update the record. For example: Mailing State

CRM Field to Update #

Select the desired field to Update in your Zoho CRM. For example: Contact Owner.

Select Zoho Sheets #

From the drop-down menu, select the desired Zoho Sheets from which you need to fetch the field to be updated and the Rows of the desired field.

Sheet Field for Lookup #

Here you can select the Field header of Zoho Sheets based on which you need to update it in the Zoho CRM. For example: The header field is related to the field-based mailing State in the above example. Based on the header, it will fetch the desired row.

Sheet Field to Update #

Select the field of the Zoho Sheets that you want to update in the Zoho CRM. For example, an email ID.

How the Extension Works #

From the above-mentioned examples, Based on the Mailing State, the contact owner field will be updated in the Zoho CRM. For that, It will fetch the desired row with the field header Mailing state and update the contact owner field with the corresponding email ID.

Audit Logs #

  • Every trigger and action of your Workflow will be tracked on a single Audit page.
  • All the success and Failure statuses of the record update or error in the Workflow will be displayed efficiently.
  • The error in Workflow implies that if you select the field to be updated as contact owner and the field to fetch from Zoho Sheets as Contact number, then the Audit shows the failure status due to the error in Workflow
